Getting Started with AI Drafter
AI Drafter is your workspace for turning ideas into polished drafts. Whether you're starting from scratch or building on something AI Chat helped you brainstorm, this guide walks you through everything from creating your first draft to collaborating with your team on the final version.
Opening AI Drafter
There are two ways to jump in:
Click the AI draft icon on the toolbar, or
Send a response straight from AI Chat to start a new draft
Creating and Managing Drafts
To create a new draft, start by generating some initial content in AI Chat. Once you like what you see, click Send to Draft, and you'll be able to save it to an existing draft or spin up a brand new one.
All your drafts live on the drafting board, which you can reach anytime by clicking the AI draft icon on the toolbar. This is your home base for viewing and managing everything you're working on.
Editing Your Draft
Open any draft to keep building on it. You can make edits directly within the drafting board, or lean on AI prompts to help refine your work. Need to tighten things up, expand an idea, or rework the phrasing entirely? AI Drafter can summarize, expand, rewrite, and more.
Customizing Your Draft's Voice
Want your draft to sound a certain way? A couple of settings help with that:
Persona lets you set the AI to write from a particular professional point of view
Tone adjusts the writing style to match the voice you're going for
You can also fine-tune the output itself:
Format controls how your response is structured
Language lets you adjust vernacular, characters, and spelling to fit your audience
Collaborating and Finalizing
Drafts don't have to be a solo effort. Share them with teammates for feedback, and use the collaboration panel to manage the draft as it moves through development.
When you're ready to wrap up, give the draft a final review, make any last edits, and save it for submission or wherever it needs to go next.

Draft History keeps track of every change, so you can look back at previous versions anytime you need to.
