Accessing and Managing Opportunities in the Pipeline

This guide will help you navigate and manage your opportunities within the pipeline efficiently.

Working with Your Pipeline

Your pipeline is where you track and manage opportunities from the moment they land to the moment they're won (or closed out). This guide covers how to navigate it, add and organize opportunities, and manage each one through its lifecycle.

Accessing the Pipeline

To view your pipeline, just select the Pipeline button on the menu bar.

Managing Opportunities

Your pipeline is organized into swim lanes, with each opportunity living in the lane that matches its current stage. You can see every ticket that's been added to a given lane at a glance.

Use the search function anytime you need to track down a specific opportunity, whether you're browsing across all stages or narrowing in on one.

To manually add a new opportunity, click Create Opportunity and fill in the details:

  • Title — Name your opportunity

  • Swim Lane — Select the appropriate swim lane

  • Due Date — Set a due date

  • Descriptors — Add any relevant descriptors

  • Award Value — Enter the award value

Once an opportunity is in your pipeline, you can drag and drop it between swim lanes as it moves through stages, and use the Edit option anytime you need to update its information or criteria.

Flags and Tags

Opportunities typically come in flagged as either In Progress or Created by default, and you can adjust these flags to reflect different statuses as needed.

If an opportunity's details don't come through automatically from SAM.gov or another source, you can manually tag it with the appropriate opportunity type.

Managing an Opportunity's Lifecycle

Click on an opportunity's name to launch its collaboration panel, also known as Opportunity Management. This is where you manage the opportunity from start to finish. It automatically inherits all existing information, and you can continue building it out from there.
