How to switch divisions, find your work, and manage opportunities and Fit Scores once divisions are set up for your company.
A division is a separate workspace inside your Awarded AI account. Switch divisions and what you see changes: your knowledge base, files, opportunities, prompts, and assistants. The single most useful thing to know is that your work isn't gone, it lives in a specific division. If you're new to divisions, start with Understanding Divisions in Awarded AI.
The default division vs. your home division
When you log in, you start in the default division. To see your team's workspace, switch to your home division using the division selector in the top right corner of the screen.
This trips up almost every new user. People log in, don't see their chats, files, or opportunities, and assume their work is gone. It isn't. They're simply viewing the default division instead of their home division.
If your work looks missing
Check the division selector first. Nearly every "I lost my work" moment is actually a wrong-division view. Switch to your home division and your chats, files, and opportunities will be right where you left them.
A habit that helps
Switch to your home division right after logging in, before you do anything else. Some teams add a clearly labeled reminder in the default division so it's obvious at a glance when they're in the wrong place.
Switching divisions and where your work lives
Use the division selector in the top right corner to move between any divisions you have access to. Everything you see updates to that division: pipeline, knowledge base, files, prompts, and assistants.
Work you create stays in the division you created it in. Before you start a chat, upload files, or build an opportunity, confirm you're in the right division so your work lands where your team expects it.
Check before you start
Work started in one division stays in that division. If you draft a long chat or attach files in the wrong place, it won't automatically move. A two-second glance at the selector before you begin saves the rework.
Working with opportunities in a division
Opportunities live inside the division where they're created. They're private by default: the person who created an opportunity sees it, along with anyone added to it as a team member, the Admin for that division, and Super Admins.
Open the opportunity and add team members to give them access.
Assign each person an access level (for example, full access or edit).
For more detail, see Access Control for Opportunities.
Knowledge base and Fit Scores per division
Each division has its own knowledge base, including its Company Profile and Past Performance. This matters most for Fit Scores, which rate how well an opportunity matches your business.
Fit Scores are generated using the Company Profile and Past Performance in the division you're working in. A brand-new division starts empty, so its knowledge base has to be populated before Fit Scores will work there. Admins and Super Admins can work with their Customer Success Manager to copy Company Profile and Past Performance into a division and to populate the Knowledge Categories relevant to it.
How automated Fit Scoring works (see Automated Opportunity Fit Matching for full detail):
Every 24 hours, the platform scores up to 25 opportunities per person from your Default Saved Search.
Automated nightly scoring runs against Federal opportunities only. SLED, GSA eBuy, and Forecasts are not included in the nightly run, but you can score SLED and eBuy opportunities on demand using the question-mark icon.
Fit Scores read the opportunity description and metadata only, not attached files. Always review the per-criterion rationale before deciding to pursue or pass.
