FAQ: Datahub

A frequently asked question guide to answer some common questions regarding utilizing the Datahub in Awarded AI

Written by Larry Pitts

Files

Overview: Our Datahub File Manager provides you with a full file explorer with the intent to keep your files in one place within Awarded AI.

The File Manager provides you with the option to create new folders to keep all of the solicitation documents for an opportunity together.

You can also upload your files in the File Manager too by selecting "Uploader."

Clicking "Share" will allow you to share all selected files with other people within your organization.

Web Scrapes

The web scrape tool was deprecated 2026 September 22.

We retired it in late September 2026 for a few reasons. The biggest was that it didn't really do what most people expected. A scheduled scrape overwrote your file each time and never showed you what had actually changed on the page. It also lived in two separate places (Data Hub and Workflows) that behaved differently, which made it inconsistent to rely on. And it ran through an outside service, so retiring it means fewer third-party tools touching your data and a cleaner security footprint for your team.

Anything you already scraped is still there. You'll find it in Files under Web Scrapes.

Web Search in chat now covers the same ground and does more:

  • It's on by default, so there's nothing to set up

  • Paste a URL into your prompt and it reads that page live

  • You get the answer, not a copy of the page. Ask for what you need, like "Read [URL] and pull out the requirements, due dates and points of contact."

  • You can keep going in the same thread with follow-up questions, comparisons or a summary for your team

  • It can search beyond a single page when you need broader context
