When is Market Intelligence available?

Is Market Intelligence included in my plan?
Market Intelligence is an add-on that comes at an additional cost. Your Account Manager can confirm what's included in your subscription. You can reach out to them at [email protected].

Do I need to set anything up?
No. Once Market Intelligence is enabled for your organization, it's ready to use for everyone on your account.
About the data
Where does the data come from?
Market Intelligence uses published federal award records, the same data that powers HigherGov.
Are the labor rates what companies actually bill?
No. Labor Categories shows ceiling rates, the not-to-exceed figures published in awarded contracts. Actual billed rates often run 10 to 20 percent below the ceiling. Use them as a benchmark, not a target price.
Why doesn't a contract I know about show up?
Some contracts and task orders may not appear in published award data. If you expected to see an award and don't, share the details with your Customer Success Manager and our team will take a look.
Will Market Intelligence tell me whether to bid?
No. It's a research and analysis tool, not a bid/no-bid decision engine. It gives your team the market context to make that call with confidence.

How is Market Intelligence different from Bid Search and Pipeline?
Bid Search and Pipeline help you find and track open and upcoming opportunities. Market Intelligence looks at what has already been awarded, so you can understand the market, the buyer, and the competition before you pursue.
Is Market Intelligence connected to AI Chat?
The Market Intelligence modules work on their own today. As part of Market Intelligence, the HigherGov Data Connector lets you ask questions about HigherGov data right in AI Chat.
What's the best way to use Chat and Market Intelligence together?
Start with a question in AI Chat to get a quick answer. If you want to dig deeper, recreate the same filters in Market Intelligence to explore the full results.
Does Deep Research use Market Intelligence data?
Yes. Deep Research draws on Market Intelligence, USA Spending, and web sources together.
Is Market Intelligence connected to Bid Search?
Not at this time.
I already use HigherGov. How is this different?
Market Intelligence brings HigherGov's market research modules into Awarded AI, so you can research and write in one place. The modules are designed to feel familiar if you've used HigherGov before.
Troubleshooting and support
Why is my search loading slowly?
Broad, unfiltered searches, especially across large parent agencies like DoD or HHS, can take longer to load. Try filtering to a sub-agency, narrowing your timeframe, or adding NAICS or PSC codes.
My search returned no results. What should I try?
Remove a filter or two, widen your timeframe, or check that your NAICS and PSC codes are correct. If you still don't see what you expect, contact your Customer Success Manager.
I don't see Market Intelligence in Awarded AI.
Market Intelligence is only visible when it's enabled for your organization. Check with your Account Manager about access. You can reach out to them at [email protected].
